For a hundred million squillion reasons. First off we love food that is good for us. We love growing food. We want everyone to eat food REAL FOOD. That is non processed, non chemical, non genetically modified. So we started our small business. To grow food for the people we love, that doesn’t cost the earth.
We are a small team run farm consisting of an eclectic collaroration of ourselves (Joe and Aoife), our employees, volunteers, interns, family members and our two amazing children who put huge energy and love into what we grow. We farm with the earth as our core value and encourage a biodiverse, vibrant, healthy eco-system rather than a mono culture farm. Our farm is only 3 acres but hugely productive.
Our markets are Castlebar Farmer’s Market on Fridays, Westport Octogon on Saturdays a veggie box delivery scheme around Mayo and to Cafe Rua, Ginger and Wild Cafe, the Foodstore Claremorris, and Ashford Castle.
