Its July 1st which means .. Plastic Free July kicks off
Plastic Free July starts today – are you ready?
The Plastic Free July movement has grown massive over the last few years. It has now inspired over 120 million participants in more than 175 countries.
While the organisers know that not using plastics for a full month is very difficult, all they are really asking is to think hard about where we can cut the amount we use… and give it a go!
As you are aware, plastics is everywhere – from coffee cups and takeaway boxes, to disposable cutlery and baby wipes, to the excessive packaging around fruits and vegetables in our stores.
So Plastic Free July is about lowering plastic consumption, to make us think, to inspire our children, to help the planet and a multitude of other important reasons.
Now… are you prepared to make the challenge?
Plastic Free July provides resources and ideas to help you (and millions of others around the world) on this quest, whether it be at home, work, school, and even at your local café.
“Participants tell us that the tips and tricks in our weekly emails during July help them to keep motivated during the challenge. People also enjoy reading stories from our participants and other news from our global movement. Enter your details here to get the latest plastic-free ideas (don’t worry – we won’t spam you or pass your email address onto anyone else). Together we can make a difference and be a part of the solution.”
